Click Translate terms of use

Click Translate provides on-device optical character recognition and translation, with optional text translation through your own DeepL API account. Results can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on them for medical care, legal rights, safety instructions, emergencies, or financial decisions without checking the original text with a qualified person.

Free mode permits 10 completed translation jobs per local calendar day. Mac also includes 5 active Live Area minutes each local day. An active unlimited subscription removes the applicable caps while it remains active. iPhone and iPad share the iOS subscription; Mac has a separate subscription under its current app record. Apple or Google sets the displayed price, billing period, taxes, renewal date, and regional availability. Payment is charged to the store account used for purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless the user cancels it through the App Store or Google Play before renewal. Store rules control refunds, billing recovery, family sharing, and restored access.

Users may not use the app to violate law, bypass access controls, infringe another person's rights, or capture content they are not allowed to access. Device and source-app capture restrictions still apply.

The app is supplied as available, without a promise that every image, language pair, device, or third-party app will work. To the extent allowed by law, Click Translate is not liable for losses caused by relying on a translation or by service interruption.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the iOS app unless App Store Connect names a different agreement. Store terms and consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded take priority over conflicting text here.

Optional ad rewards

Where offered, completing one rewarded ad grants 5 extra successful translations. You can earn up to 2 rewards per local calendar day and hold up to 20 unused extras. The regular free allowance is used first. Earned extras do not expire when the allowance resets. An ad started before midnight uses that day's reward slot. Skipping an ad before the reward is earned grants no extras and does not reduce your existing allowance. Failed translations do not spend a credit.

Ad availability depends on connectivity, region, privacy choices, and advertising inventory. Ads are optional; you may continue with your existing allowance, wait for its reset, or subscribe. Subscribers have unlimited translation without ad offers. Extras are stored on this installation, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not restored by Restore Purchases. Deleting app data can remove them.

Optional DeepL BYOK

Connecting your own DeepL API account has no separate Click Translate surcharge. A manual DeepL retry is included in the original completed app translation job; it does not spend another app allowance or online minutes. Existing app limits still apply when starting a new capture. DeepL bills API usage separately under your provider agreement, including requests processed before a timeout or cancellation. A Click Translate unlimited subscription does not include or pay for DeepL usage. Connection testing checks account access without translating text. You can delete the saved credential in Settings or revoke it through DeepL.
